Biography:

Bianca Okorocha, better known as Clayrocksu or Clay is a Nigerian Alternative/Pop Rock artist based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Her debut single ‘Ogadisinma ‘ was nominated at Nigeria Music Video Awards [NMVA] in the best alternative category 2011.

She has consistently topped the alternative radio charts in Lagos, Nigeria. She has also won Top Naija Music Awards (TNMA) for best record of the year in 2012 for her song ‘Dancing in the sun’ featuring Vector. Also for the category of Rock Goddess of the year at the 2015 Audio inferno’s African Rock Music Awards.

Clay has also worked with international acts like Kenyan’s foremost Rock band ‘Parking Lot’s Grass’, American rapper JIT in rock/rap collaboration, amongst others. The very first post hardcore song ever made in Nigeria, was done by Clay featuring 1last Autograph.

With Clay’s very unique vocals and electrifying live performances alongside her rock band (The Misfits), she has managed to create a niche in the Nigerian Afro pop dominated Music Industry . Clay has amongst several shows, played at the Rocktoberfest 4 years running , the Ake Festivals, AFFRIF 2018,Felabration amongst others. Clay has consistently topped the alternative radio charts in Lagos and several states across the country. Bagging international interviews and features with the New York Times, Daily Nation Kenya, Reuters amongst others.

Clay frequently collaborates with her music producer ‘Coldflames’ on most of her songs, including her last body of work, released in 2017 titled ‘Road Less Traveled ‘ (EP) . Her latest single/video off the Ep, The One featuring Johnny Drille has got everyone talking and It’s available on all music platforms. The amazing song is being nominated for the Beatz awards 2018, in the best Afro rock category.
